Phyllis J. Fockler, 88 of Lake City, passed away August 17, 2024 at Maple Ridge Assisted Living Center in Lake City.

Phyllis was born December 31, 1935 in Ferndale, Michigan to Duke and Madge (Mendenhall) Williams.

Phyllis was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Stars, she was initiated in Houghton Lake #514 on February 2, 1954; Transferred to Lake City #179 in 1962, and finally Sherman Chapter #197 of Mesick in 2022. Over her life she proudly served as all five star points, Marshall, Conductress, Treasurer, Secretary, Associate Matron, and Worthy Matron (7 times). Phyliss was honored to serve as Grand Martha for the Cross-Moerdyk Grand Family, she also was a member of the Goodwill committee in 1967 and Grand Representative to Idaho from 1976-79.

A memorial service will be held on May 23, 2025 with burial in the Lake City Cemetery.

The Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City is serving the family. Words of comfort and memories may be shared at www.holdshipfuneralhomes.com.

Initiation of two women. Meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. There is no cost. Light refreshments will be served following the meeting's close

Many volunteers needed to help with Great Lakes Loons kids game on May 13 , 2025 at Midland's Dow Diamond. Helping assemble and hand out packaged lunches to the children.
